Solar light hack
I bought a few stake solar lights and now found some vintage glass
lamp shades. Add a little tape and some sisel twine... Voilà! Cute
little solar lights that look like flowers.

Gardening!
I grabbed this vintage ladder at a yard sale today--and bought the
petunias at the farmers market. I "potted" the petunias in a burlap
sack and strung them to the ladder. I'm considering other things to
hang as well....

Springtime?
Here is my existing flower bed. Hostas, sedum, peonies!!, a flowering
bush that wrigley has been fastidiously pruning all winter...and a few
mystery plants. I have the galvanized tin bucket there that I may use
to grow a hibiscus tree OR I am considering a water garden. But I am
not sure how tall everything else will grow. We shall see...

Wrigley has beheaded every one of my flowering daffodils, so no photos
of that yet.

Rain chain, don't go away...
So, I am dying to get some of these rain chains for my house and garden! They vary in size, material and complexity--but all are so pretty! I've read that they sound very musical as well, and can apparently replace gutters entirely. Prices vary from 40 to 100 from what I e found so far-but I bet a crafty person (a welder perhaps?) could make one.
I think you can also use a simple chain.
So cool!

Dresser goes to rehab
I painted Will's sad garage sale dresser and it looks so bright and
cheery now! Of course, I forgot to take before photos--but suffice it
to say it was not in the best of shape. Now it is as good as new since
I fixed one of the drawee that was off-rail and I lined all the
drawers with my one dollar wrapping paper. The parasol is there for
fun for now, though it will end up somewhere else, but is a fun burst
of color for now.

Small project - curio cabinet!
We finally hung the cute little shelf that I fiund at salvation army MONTHS ago. I wasn't sure I wanted it hung up where we have it in the kitchen since it is such a narrower depth--and I think that worry was founded because it's a little akward from certain angles....but overall I really like having the natural wood up high near the white cabinets and I like that I will be able to put cute stuff up there. I am going to have to look for some more modern things to offset the rugged wood and my figurines.
Wrigley found a friend!
Yay! Wrigley finally found a friend at the dog park! Amos is a 12wk old Chesapeake bay retriever and already weighs more than Wrigley! We met at the park yesterday when it was pouring rain and were so happy to meet again today! yaaaaay! We are planning some future play dates--so please expect the size difference to become glaringly obvious. Fun!
